Three killed in car bomb blast in Giza

CAIRO: An explosive device has exploded Wednesday morning inside a car in Al-Sharfa village in Al-Saf, Giza, killing two people and wounding three others, Giza governor Ali Abdel Rahman said, Youm 7 reported.

However, the Ministry of Health announced in  Wednesday statement that the explosion resulted in the death of three people and no injuries. Corpses were transferred to the nearest hospitals to the scene, the statement read.

Head of the investigation department in Giza police station, Brigadier General Mahmoud Shawky told Al Masry al Youm newspaper that those killed were inside the car and were likely to have been on their way to carry out a “terrorist operation” against police forces.
