‘October cell’ case adjourned to August 23 to listen to defense pleading

CAIRO:The Giza Criminal Court ruled Wednesday to adjourn the trial of seven members of Ansar Bayt el-Maqdis in the case well known as the‘October cell,’ to August 23 to listen to the defense’s pleading, Youm7 reported.

The defendants are facing charges of forming a terrorist cell and shooting at security personnel securing a church in 6 October  City which led to the killing of a police officer.

They were also accused of planning to target armed forces soldiers,possession   of fire weapons, endangering peace and security and founding terrorist groups.
