CAIRO: Minister of Manpower Nahed Hasan Ashry gained approval from Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Ahmad bin Abdel-Aziz Qattan Friday to restore seasonal employment visas to Egyptian recruitment certified companies.
“Authorized companies can deal with seasonal visas starting Saturday,” Ashry said during their meeting in the embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Egypt.
This procedure was made in the framework of the strong relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Ashry said and that the ministry is keen to provide Egyptians who want to work and travel in Saudi Arabia with the best employment services.
During the meeting, Ashry and Qattan discussed the problems Egyptians are facing with recruitment companies. Both stressed the importance of permanent coordination between the ministry and the embassy in the framework of common interests and strong relations between the two neighboring countries. The embassy is willing to overcome any difficulties that Egyptian citizens may face at any time, Youm7 reported.
Qattan gave his directives to solve the problems of 700 Egyptian companies to assist Egyptian workers abroad and facilitate all visa applications submitted by Egyptian recruitment certified companies to the consulates.
On June 2013, Egypt’s Minister of Tourism Hisham Zaazou announced that Saudi Arabia has reduced the number of Egyptians permitted to perform the Islamic Pilgrimage of Hajj by 20 percent.
