CAIRO: Flights between Egypt and Libya airports halted due to the airstrikes and latest unrest there, according to official sources at Cairo International Airport Thursday.
The sources said all flights halted two days ago from and to Tripoli Airport and Benghazi Airport but small flights to Mitiga and Mesratah airports are still on-going.
Due to the disturbance in Libya and number of airstrikes, air surveillance in Libya called Cairo Airport Authority, stating that the Libyan airspace is closed.
Dozens of passengers are waiting in the departure hall for the reopening of the airspace.
