CAIRO: A 17-year-old was killed in error Monday when a policeman in Qalyubia governorate was trying to shoot a dog, which he told the prosecution was “rabid” and had been chasing him, Youm7 reported.

Nader Gamal, who incidentally was passing by the scene in Beltan village, died immediately of a stray gunshot from the policeman’s pistol.

The investigations led to the arrest of an officer identified as Emad M., and his pistol was confiscated.
