EGX opens trading with small drop of 44 points

CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) opened trading Wednesday with a drop of approximately .46 percent, after upward sideways trading Tuesday.

The benchmark index EGX30 lost over 40 points, falling to 9,449, down Tuesday’s close of 9.493 points.

The EGX70 continued this week’s trend of sideways movement, registering 631 points, same as Tuesday’s close.

Shares of market heavyweight CIB marked a slight rise from 50.85 EGP ($7.10) to 50.88 EGP.
