CAIRO: Three police personnel were injured Sunday night after being targeted by two “armed terrorists on motorcycles” in Gam’et el Duwal el Arabya Street, in Mohandessin, Giza, Youm7 reported.
It was added that the defendants threw a bomb near the officers after shooting them. The police forces, shortly headed to the location, where they fatally shot one assailant, and arrested the other.
Early Monday morning in Damanhour City, Beheira Governorate, a bomb blast took place near the railway, however, no one was hurt. Shortly after, two other bombs were defused in the same city according to Youm7, and two were arrested in relation to the explosives.
In Arish city, north Sinai, a medical source told Youm7 that anonymous alleged terrorists bombed a house rented by police, as five were injured and transferred to Arish Military and General Arish hospitals for treatment.
The bombing was committed after the assailants placed explosives with a remote detonator near the house, located in an area where police usually rent their houses. As a result, parts of four houses in the area have reportedly collapsed.
The perpetrators of the bombing have not yet been identified by official security bodies.
Another soldier, Selim Abdel Samie, 22, was reported to be injured in Sinai after being targeted near a military camp by alleged terrorists.
