CAIRO: Train movement on the Alexandria-Cairo railway resumed normal operations Saturday after a blast in Beheira governorate earlier in the morning, Youm7 reported.
The blast was caused by two improvised explosives planted near the Abu Homs Railway station in Beheira; another three were dismantled by civil protection forces.
The explosion caused a one-meter hole and damages to the railway line, but left no injuries. It was reported that the affected part of the railway line was replaced.
Directly after the blast, the Beheira governorate provided 10 buses to transfer the residents who were waiting at the Abu Homs Railway station that witnessed the bombing.
