At least two commuters stabbed on bus in Tel Aviv

JERUSALEM: At least two commuters were stabbed by an unknown assailant on a bus in central Tel Aviv on Wednesday, Israeli police said, one of whom media reported was in serious condition.

The assailant, who tried to escape the scene, was shot by police and lightly wounded in the leg before being apprehended, police spokeswoman Luba Samri said. Israeli media described the attacker as an Arab.

The attack occurred during the morning rush hour.
