CAIRO: The government-formed committee tasked with confiscating Muslim Brotherhood (MB) property has cancelled its earlier decision to confiscate the assets of five (MB) figures, said head of the committee Judge Ezzat Khamis Wednesday.

In a news conference Wednesday, Khamis said that “the committee had previously confiscated the assets of 906 MB figures, out of whom five filed grievances against the decision and were accepted.”

While the exact details of the assets and relevant Brotherhood figures haven’t been disclosed, the committee is currently preparing a list of new 166 MB figures, Khamis said.
