CAIRO: Egypt has canceled celebrations marking the fourth anniversary of the January 25 Revolution after the country announced a seven-day national mourning following the death of Saudi Arabia King Abdullah, Youm7 reported Friday.

Egypt has also cancelled the celebrations marking the National Police Day, which also falls on January 25.The Foreign Ministry has also flown its flags half-mast.

King Abdullah died early Friday, prompting President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, who had visited the ailing king Monday, to cut his activities in the World Economic Forum in Davos short.
