CAIRO: A large delegation from Egypt’s Children Cancer Hospital 57357 arrived in Ethiopia to contribute to the enhancement of the skills of the Ethiopian medical staff, MENA reported Friday.

The delegation aims to provide courses of one to six months in several specialities to doctors from the Nile Basin countries, head of the delegation Ashraf Zaghloul told MENA.

Before the visit to Ethiopia, the delegation was in Kenya training doctors to treat children with cancer.

The 57357 foundation, in cooperation with Harvard University, intends to provide 30-monthscholarships for Ethiopian doctors in Egypt, according to Zaghloul.

The foundation will participate in a five-year plan organized by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and the Egyptian Partnership Agency for Africa’s Development to consolidate cooperation between African countries.

57357 was able to cure over 1,000 children in several African countries, and has decided to treat ten Kenyan children as part of training program to Kenyan doctors in the field of radiotherapy, MENA quoted Zaghloul as saying.
