CAIRO: A booby-trapped car exploded Friday night, in Alf Maskan square near the Ain Shams district in Cairo, injuring 6 soldiers; two of them are in critical conditions, Youm7 reported.

Two interior ministry assistances were in the district during the explosion, and may have been targets of the attack, security forces told Youm7.

Bomb experts moved to the blast location to search for any other suspicious devices but did not find anything.

Another bombing took place in Alexandria Friday night, with no injuries reported.
