CAIRO: The elevator of the Egyptian-Russian Friendship Monument situated near the Aswan High Dam fell, injuring four people, Youm7 reported Saturday.
The elevator fell 30 meters, and the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals.
The 72-meter tall lotus-shaped monument, was erected in recognition to the Soviet Union’s contribution in building the High Dam in Aswan in the 1970s, through thousands of Russian specialists.
