CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) stated Sunday it would be closed to observe Police Day and the fourth anniversary of January 25 Revolution.
Trading will resume Monday, January 26, the EGX added.
The Central Bank of Egypt also announced Sunday an official vacation; local banks will resume their activities Monday.
The stock market ended Thursday on a mixed note as the benchmark index EGX30 edged above the resistance level of 9,800 points, registering 9,898 or 0.43 percent higher. Meanwhile, the market is likely to ride a downward wave as profit takers seem to control the market.
