Explosion in downtown Cairo Tuesday morning

CAIRO: An explosion took place Tuesday morning in an electricity box near Talaat Harb square downtown of Cairo, Eye-witnesses told Youm7.

The explosion caused partial damages of two shops near the electricity box, the eye-witness added.
No casualties have been reported yet, the Explosives Department of Cairo Security directorate Alaa abdel Zaheir told Aswat Masryia.

Since the ouster of the former Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013, numerous bombs have taken places in Cairo, Giza and others governorates, targeting the police and military personnel.
