CAIRO: President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi issued Thursday a decree to establish four presidential councils specialized in community development, education and scientific research, economic development, and foreign policy and national security, presidential spokesperson Alaa Youssef announced.
The members of the councils will be appointed by presidential decree and include experts and specialists with consideration of youth representation, the statement noted, adding that the President will head the meetings of the councils.
The community development council would propose and study general policies of social projects and organize activities between individuals and governmental and private bodies, the statement noted.
As for the council of education and scientific research, it would frame general policies of all educational grades, help the centers and institutes of technological researches, propose the new legislatures for establishing new research centers.
The economic council would frame and propose studies to increase productivity and to study the problems that impede economic growth.
The foreign policy and national security would participate in enhancing the Egyptian foreign relations, proposing the initiatives backing the stability and peace in the region, the statement added.
