CAIRO: Ansar Bayt Al Maqdis claimed their responsibility for the killing of two soldiers and an officer working for the tourism police in North Sinai, Youm7 reported Tuesday

The incident took place Thursday Feb. 5; the two soldiers were and the officer were waiting in front of a hotel in Arish city while armed men shot them.

ABM has claimed responsibility for a number of attacks, including a series of blasts Jan 29 that killed more than 30 soldiers and civilians in North Sinai.

Eyewitnesses told Youm7 Tuesday morning that a military aircraft was seen early morning striking suspected “terrorist hotbeds.”

Another bomb device was reported to explode as a security force unit was passing through south Rafah; however no casualties occurred, according to Youm7.

Sisi paid security forces in the North Sinai a surprise visit last week and attended a training session on raiding an armed location and fighting gunmen.
