CAIRO: Six persons were injured Tuesday morning when a bomb planted near by a police station in Alexandria exploded, Youm7 reported.
The bomb was planted near the passports department that attached to the Nuzha first police station; civil protection forces discovered the explosive that was filled with nails.
Three other bombs were defused in Smouha near the Alexandria Security Directorate after the area was combed by security forces.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks.
Since the ouster of former Islamist president Mohamed Morsi, several attacks have targeted military and security personnel in several governorates, particularly in North Sinai. Five bombs were exploded in Helwan, South of Cairo, two days ago; but no one was injured.
