CAIRO: Egypt’s national football team jumped three ranks in FIFA’s February ranking, assuming the 57th place although it did not partake in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations held in Equatorial Guinea.
Equatorial Guinea, on the other hand, jumped 69 ranks in one shot, settling at the 49th place. Algeria, thus far the top in African and the Arab world, ranked 18th in January. The Ivory Coast advanced eight places, ranking 20th in the global ranking and second in Africa.
Tunisia, dropping four places and ranked 26th, continues to be the second in the Arab world. The North African country left the 2015 African Cup at the quarter-finals against Equatorial Guinea.
Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Brazil continue to top the list, respectively.
