CAIRO: Several separate incidents and explosions took place Tuesday morning in different governorates around the country, Youm7 reported.
In Gharbia governorate, a bomb exploded causing a state of panic between the residents; civilian security forces combed the location, and found another bomb in a nearby building.
In Beheira, a TNT bomb was found before it detonated and was defused, according to a statement by police, who had been tipped off by local residents.
Another bomb blast took place in Giza causing damage to civilian buildings; no one was hurt and an investigation was ordered to be opened, Youm7 reported.
In Upper Egypt’s Sohag governorate, an amateur bomb device was defused after being found at the administrative prosecution headquarter, near Tahta police station.
The bomb was hidden by a black adhesive tape, with some anti-police slogans written on it. According to Youm7, no other devices were found in the area.
