CAIRO: Renewed airstrikes hit alleged bases allegedly affiliated to the Islamic State group in Derna, Libya, Youm7 reported Wednesday night.

Sky News reported that  Egyptian Special Forces coordinated with the Libyan authorities who made a ground invention, where they say they killed and arrested up to 100 alleged terrorists from various nationalities, including Egyptian, Arab, and other foreigners.

On Sunday, Feb. 15, the Libyan branch of the Islamic State group released a video showing the beheading of 21 kidnapped Egyptians. Egypt launched airstrikes on Derna and Sirte in the early hours of Monday, and announced it had killed 50 suspected IS members.
