CAIRO: Two of those injured at an explosion outside the High Judicial Court have died of their wounds, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Hossam Abdel Ghaffar told Mehwar channel Monday.
The two victims, who were in heir early twenties, were both civilian, according to Abdel Ghaffar. Eleven people, including policemen and civilians, were injured.
The police are viewing films of surveillance cameras and perpetrators will be arrested “within hours,” police spokesperson Hany Abdel Latif said in Monday press statements. He added that a “full review of the security plan” in downtown.
A video of the moment of the bombing in downtown Cairo Monday afternoon circulated on social media; appearing to be from a surveillance camera on a building across from the court.
The immediate aftermath of the explosion was also caught on camera by Al-Hadath channel.
