Lawyers Syndicate to pay pension for family of young member killed at bombing

CAIRO: The Lawyers Syndicate announced it would dispense a pension for the family of late lawyer Ahmed Saeed Fawzy, 24, who was killed at a Monday explosion outside the High Judicial Court in Cairo.

Fawzy had just sworn the oath of lawyers to become a member of the Lawyers Syndicate the same day he was killed, according to CBC channel.

The other slain victim of the explosion was university student Mohamed Adel, 22. Injured people, who include police and civilians, amounted to 11, according to the Ministry of Health.

A group that calls itself the Revolutionary Punishment, which has multiple accounts on Twitter, claimed responsibility for the attacks on one account and denied it on another.
