CAIRO: A civilian was killed and five were injured Sunday after a bomb detonated near a Carrefour market in the Montaza district of Alexandria, Youm7 reported.

The explosion came a day after a number of explosions occurred in the Delta governorate of Mahalla in which three people killed and 14 severely injured.

Four bombs were found Sunday morning near a power line in Mahalla; bomb experts remotely detonated them, Youm7 reported. No injuries were reported.

Several explosions also took place in different parties in Egypt on the day of the recent Cabinet reshuffle.

In the Upper Egyptian branch of Azhar University branch in Asyut, security forces evacuated five buildings after seven bombs were found.  One of the bombs was remotely detonated, and so far three were defused, Youm7 reported.
