CAIRO: The long-awaited Egypt Economic Development Conference EEDC will be a “great success,” said Indonesian Ambassador to Egypt Nour Faazy.
“I believe that EEDC 2015 will be successful as an event and also as a forum that brings investment commitment to further develop Egypt,” the ambassador told Youm7 via email.
He added that he would participate in the conference along with a delegation from Indonesia on behalf of the Indonesian President, and that as some representatives from Indonesian state-owned enterprise Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN) who specialize in logistics and warehousing will take part in the conference.
Faazy said that although “Egypt is still having a rough period not only in politics, but rather on other levels, the Indonesian position will always be supportive on the political level.”
An estimated 80 foreign countries are expected to attend the conference, and a number of delegations arrived Thursday at the Cairo International Airport.
