CAIRO: U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Sharm el-Sheikh Friday, where will meet with President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi in the sideline of Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) scheduled to start on Friday and to last for three days, AFP reported.
According to the French news agency, Sisi and Kerry will discuss several issues including the fight against the Islamic State (IS) group and its expansion in Libya.
Kerry will also meet with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Jordanian King Abdullah II.
During the last few hours, Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh has received a lot of participants, including heads of state, international delegations, investors and chairmen of global companies.
At least 90 states and 25 international, regional and Arab companies have confirmed their participation in the summit.
