CAIRO: Nine persons, in including four officers and a conscript were injured after a bomb exploded outside Cairo University, Youm7 reported Saturday. The remaining four were personnel of private security company Falcon.
Forces securing the area prohibited access to cars on the road as they combed the surrounding of the bombing in search for any other explosive devices. Youm7 reported that the gates of the university were closed after the explosion that took place near the metro station.
A exit onto the Giza bridge leading to Sudan Street near the university remains blocked.
