CAIRO: Dozens of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) supporters have staged protests Friday in Cairo’s northern district of Mataryia, Youm7 reported.

They reportedly set fire to barricades and fired bird shot at security forces, which replied by firing teargas canisters towards the protesters to disperse the crowds, prompting them to withdraw to side streets.

The Giza Criminal Court Wednesday sentenced to death 22 alleged Muslim Brotherhood (MB) supporters for attacking a police station in Cairo’s southern district of Kerdasa in 2013, Youm7 reported.
