Asser Yassin wins best actor award in Tetouan Film Festival

CAIRO: Egyptian actor Asser Yassin was awarded the best actor award Saturday at the 21st session of the Tetouan International Mediterranean Film Festival which was held in Morocco from March 28 to April4 , state-run MENA reported.

Yassin’s award was for his role in Aswar el-Qamar, directed by Tarik al-Eryan.

Moroccan film “Afrah Saghira” obtained the audience award, while the Palestinian “Roshima” was awarded the best documentary, according to the festival’s website.

The human rights prize was awarded to the Moroccan movie “Nesf al-Samaa while the Lebanese movie “Al-Awda ila al-Diyar” won the jury special prize.

The Tetouan International Mediterranean Film Festival was established in 1985.
