Power towers have been sabotaged by bombs among daily violent attacks, which have inflicted losses of millions of pounds on the government, as well as a placing a burden on a grid already facing an energy crisis.
Since the 2013 ouster of President Mohamed Morsi, public utilities and services including cell phone towers, water plants, power transformers, public buses and others have been strategically targeted for attacks.
