CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended on a mixed note Sunday, as the benchmark index EGX30 dropped 1.37 percent, hurt mainly by Arab and foreign sell offs.
The benchmark fell to 8,764 points at close, down from 8,886 points Thursday.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 was almost flat, ending 0.08 percent higher at494.89, compared to 494.5points in its last session. The broader index EGX100 fell by 0.21 percent, ending at 1,006 points.
Market capitalization lost around 2.9 billion EGP ($380 million,) totaling 508.4 billion EGP, down from 511.3 billion EGP Thursday.
