CAIRO: A man was killed and a child wounded following three roadside bomb explosions in Cairo’s district of Ain Shams Friday, Al-Ahram reported.
Police cordoned off the site of the explosions while security sources said a fourth bomb was dismantled before it went off.
The injured child has been sent to a hospital.
Egypt has seen a wave of attacks, mostly targeting the country’s security forces, since the military backed ouster of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi in 2013 following a mass protest against his rule.
Following the 25 January Revolution that toppled former President Hosni Mubarak, political turmoil, security lapse and militant violence have hammered tourism, a main pillar of Egypt’s economy.
