Extreme heat wave continues to hit Egypt

CAIRO: A heat wave continues to batter Egypt, with a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius in Cairo Wednesday, Youm7 reported.

“Hot temperatures are expected to continue for the next two days, then a drop by 8 degrees starting from Thursday,” said Waheed Saoudi, Egyptian Meteorological Authority’s (EMA) spokesperson, to el Hayah el Youm TV Channel Wednesday.

Saoudi advised citizens not to be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time and to drink a lot of fluids.
