Cairo heat wave relents

CAIRO: Egypt’s Meteorological Authority expects a “remarkable decrease” in temperatures across the country after having soared to high levels during the past few days, reaching 38 Wednesday.

The authority predicts Cairo and north coastal cities will see a “moderate” atmosphere, however high temperatures will continue in south of Upper Egypt.

Temperatures in Cairo for Thursday are expected to reach 30 during the day, and 17 at night.

During this month, Egypt has roughly witnessed inconsistent weather, ranging between brief cold and heat waves.
