CAIRO: A U.S. congressional delegation arrived Cairo Sunday in order to open talks with Egyptian officials over counter-terrorism policies, Youm 7 reported.

A source told Youm 7 that the delegation, headed by the chairman of the house intelligence committee Devin Nunes is expected to meet President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi and other Egyptian officials to discuss bilateral relations between Cairo and Washington in terms of security cooperation and recent Middle East developments especially the crises in Yemen and Libya.

Egypt has often hosted visits for congressional delegations following the military intervention to oust Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
