CAIRO: Six people from one family were injured Sunday when an explosive inside a black plastic bag detonated as one of them attempted to open the bag, Youm7 reported.

The bag was lying on a street in the area of Zarayeb in Manshiyet Nasser, one of the biggest and most deprived slums in Cairo. The prosecution has ordered the National Security to investigate the incident, and the family was transferred to Sheikh Zayed Hospital.

A garbage collector was killed in October 6 City, 32 kilometers outside Cairo, while he was performing his job in the street in February. Three garbage collectors were injured in a similar incident in Cairo in November 2014.

Another garbage collector was killed in Matariya, eastern Cairo, when a bomb went off inside a trash can in the street in March.

Civilians and passersby, as well as their properties, have been affected alongside officers and public properties by hundreds of improvised explosive devices that some people began manufacturing after the 2013 ouster of President Mohamed Morsi.

Unlike bombings that kill officers, operations that kill civilians are often not claimed.

Due to the amateurism of some of those people, they have killed themselves manufacturing or planting the bombs.
