Egypt guest of honor in Arab Economic Forum in Beirut

CAIRO: An Egyptian delegation headed by Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Khaled Hanafy traveled to Beirut to take part in the 23rd edition of the Arab Economic Forum (AEF) scheduled for 5-8 May, Youm7 reported.

Ahmed al-Wakeel, the chair of the Egyptian Federation of Chambers of Commerce (EFCC) will be among the Egyptian delegation participating in this year’s forum in which Egypt will be the guest of honor.

Over 500 participants including economists, heads of companies, banks and investment groups of public and private sectors along with central bank governors and senior government officials from 15 Arab and foreign countries are expected to be present at the three-day forum.

Members of the Egyptian delegation will discuss the development in major projects that were put up during the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) which was held in Sharm el-Sheikh in March.
