CAIRO: Two tourists were killed and nine others injured Tuesday morning after their bus smashed into a truck north of Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Hurghada, Youm7 reported.
The nationalities of the dead tourists have not been identified yet, sources told Youm7, adding that ambulances rushed to the crash site and the injured tourists were immediately transferred to the Hurghada and el-Gouna hospitals.
A team from the prosecution went to the crash site to look into the reason behind the crash.
Traffic accidents occur frequently in Egypt, often because of poor road condition and lax regulations. According to the Egyptian State Information Service, over 8,200 road accidents a year occur in Egypt.
