CAIRO: Fire erupted Friday morning at a school nearby the 150 year-old palace of Prince Omar Tousson in Cairo’s district of Shoubra, Youm7 reported.

It is unclear what started the trash pile on fire but preliminary investigations suggest the fire erupted when a resident was burning trash nearby the Kasim Amin School.

Civil protection forces, firefighters with five ambulances hurled to the palace and were able to put it out, security sources told Youm7.

No casualties were reported.
