CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rallied at the close of Thursday’s session, pushed by Arab and local purchases, while foreign investors mostly sold.
The benchmark index EGX30 increased by 1.83 percent to end at 8,988 points, compared to 8,826 points at Wednesday’s close.
Meanwhile, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 also hiked 1.85 percent to end at 480.58 points, compared to 471.85 points in its last session.
The broader index EGX100 added 1.59 percent as well, registering 1003.6.
Market capitalization gained around 4.15 billion EGP ($543.9 million,) totaling 504.53 billion EGP, up from 500.38 billion EGP Wednesday.
