CAIRO: Two people were killed and 5 others were injured Saturday during a fight triggered by abusive Facebook posts in the Delta governorate of Damietta, Youm7 reported.
Several media outlets reported that Facebook users of two extended families exchanged insults on “The Hidden;” page that was closed after the fighting broke out among young people of two families in Ananyia village, 191Kilometers to the north of Cairo.
Two young people namely Mohamed. M. 30 and Attia. A, 27, were shot dead in a gunfire exchange among members of the two families following a verbal altercation, according to Youm7.
The security forces cordoned the area and called the general prosecution to investigate into the accident.
Members of the two families have blocked the road preventing students of Thanaweya Amaa (High School) from going to testing rooms to take their final exams.
However, the Ministry of Education has denied the news, Youm7 reported.
