CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) resumed it downward wave for a third straight day at the close of Tuesday’s session, as Arab institutions extended their sell-offs.
The benchmark index EGX30 lost 0.52 percent to end at 8,445 points, down from 8,489 points on Monday.
Further, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 retreated 0.61 percent to end at 447.5 points, compared to 450.25 points in its last session. The broader index EGX100 decreased 0.54 percent, registering 945.3 points as well.
Market capitalization added around 2.5 billion EGP ($327.84 million,) totaling 487.6 billion EGP, down from 490.1 billion EGP Monday.
