CAIRO: After being hit by a strong sandstorm Saturday, Cairo sees a notable drop in temperature degrees reaching 31 °C during the day hours of Sunday, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA.)

A sand storm hit Egypt Saturday, coinciding with an increase in temperature reaching up to 40°C.

The weather reduced visibility, prompting at least three flights to land at the Cairo International Airport instead of Arab Tower Airport in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria.
