CAIRO: Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab arrived in Italy Wednesday in a 3-day visit where he will meet with senior Italian officials and discuss ways to boost bilateral cooperation in various fields, Youm7 reported.
Mahalb is scheduled to hold talks with his Italian counterpart Matteo Renzi, President Sergio Mattarella, Defense Minister Roberta Pinotti and Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni.
He is also scheduled to attend the celebration of Expo Milan on the occasion of Egypt’s national day, which falls on July 23; Industry Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour was quoted by Youm7.
According to the exhibition website, Expo Milano 2015 is to be organized over six months from May 1 to Oct.31. More than 140 countries are participating in the event, through which they show state-of-the-art technology “to guarantee healthy, safe and sufficient food for everyone, while respecting the planet and its equilibrium.”During the first two days of his visit, the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI), the Italian-Egyptian Business Council and Intesa Sanpaolo bank will organize a two-day meeting for the Egyptian and Italian political leaders in Milan and Turin, Agi.it website reported on July 17.
