CAIRO: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecast a heat wave in Egypt, with temperatures Friday reaching 39 °C.

The authority predicted weather to be hot and humid in Lower Egypt and Cairo. It also expected hot temperatures in both North and South Upper Egypt, with moderate weather on the northern coast.

Egypt has witnessed a heat wave since the beginning of this week, with the temperature reaching 40°C Thursday.
