CAIRO: A number of passengers were injured Friday evening at Cairo Airport after their bus, transporting them from the plane to the arrival hall, hit a light pole, Youm7 reported.

Head of the airport Ahmed Genena arrived at the scene with security officials, and the injured passengers have been transferred to a hospital for treatment.

In December 2014, a microbus owned by Cairo Airport crashed into a stationary plane on the runway, damaging both vehicles and injuring the driver.

Earlier on Friday, the website of Cairo Airport was briefly taken over by pro-Muslim Brotherhood hackers, posting slogans slamming Egypt’s military and President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
