CAIRO: The Georgian Embassy in Egypt announced a reduction of the entry visa for Egyptians by $30, from $50 to $20, in light of the “special bilateral relations between the two countries,” Egypt’s ministry of foreign affairs website published Tuesday.

Assistant Foreign Minister for Consulate Affairs Amr Moawad announced that Egyptians can apply for the entry visa electronically through “evisa.gov.ge” website or through Georgia’s Embassy in Egypt.

In 2014, Governor of South Sinai Khaled Fouda received the ambassador of Georgia to Egypt Archil Dzuliashvili and the ambassador of Kazakhstan Barrick Warren in Sharm el-Sheikh.

They discussed the idea of holding a twin city agreement between Sharm el-Sheikh and counterparts in Georgia and Kazakhstan.
