CAIRO: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) rallied at the close Thursday’s close, on the back of the global and Arab stock markets’ recovery.
Pushed by institutions’ purchases, the benchmark index EGX30 climbed 2.99 percent to end at 7,079 points, up from 6,873 points on Wednesday.
Similarly, the small and mid-cap index EGX70 soared 3.58 percent to end at 387 points, compared to 373.7 points in the last session.
The broader index EGX100 also hiked 2.71 percent to close at 825 points, after 803.2 points on Wednesday.
Market capitalization gained around 12.8 billion EGP ($1.64 billion,) totaling 437.7 billion EGP, up from 424.9 billion EGP on Wednesday.
