CAIRO: Egypt’s Ministry of Finance is to hold the third conference for the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Oct. 19 to introduce three new projects, Youm7 reported Wednesday.
The conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail and will witness the participation of the Minister of Finance Hany Qadry and a number of high-level officials and ambassadors from European, African and Arab countries, besides the chairmen of international investment companies participating in Egyptian projects.
The three to-be-introduced projects will establish three drinking water treatment stations: one in Tor Sinai, the second in Safaga and the third in the North Coast, according to Youm7.
As per previous statements for Chairman of the PPP Central Unit at the Ministry of Finance Atter Hanoura, the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction, the African and Asian Development Banks and the Islamic Development Bank are invited to be presented in the conference, Youm7 said.
Qadry introduced a project in September to renew all notary offices and to connect them through a mechanized system; it is to be implemented through the PPP, reported Daily News Egypt Sept. 24.
According to the News website, the notary offices’ project is the third in the row of seven projects adopted by the Ministry of finance as the plan of 2015.
The seventh project is developing the Nile Bus, which is to be discussed in early November, Youm7 reported.
